We are incredibly proud to announce that JANUS Innovation Hub is the official Regional Partner for the 2027 Startup World Cup in San Diego.

This is not just a partnership; it is a direct bridge for our global community of founders to reach the ultimate arena. The ecosystem is evolving, and we are setting the stage for the boldest minds to step up. Instead of lifting a standard trophy, one outstanding startup will advance from our regional ecosystem to the Grand Finale, where they will compete for a $1,000,000 investment prize.

The path to that million-dollar prize goes directly through our ecosystem.

The momentum is undeniable. With over 120 applications from founders worldwide in just our first two sessions, the Pitch Pulse stage has proven that the pipeline of talent is truly global. Founders from across the map are stepping up to access the California ecosystem, and now, we are raising the stakes.

We are officially opening the doors for Session 03: National Security and Defense: From Resiliency to Readiness, taking place online via Google Meet on Friday, July 10.

This session is a dedicated national startup pitch competition for innovators building the next generation of defense and dual-use technologies. We are actively welcoming startups developing solutions across cybersecurity, autonomous systems, robotics, aerospace, intelligence, critical infrastructure protection, advanced sensing, and supply chain resilience. If your technology strengthens security and preparedness in an increasingly complex world, this is your arena.

Selected startups will pitch live before a highly curated panel of industry experts, investors, and ecosystem leaders. The top teams from this session will advance directly to the Pitch Pulse Final Showcase during Startup Week San Diego, putting them one step closer to the Startup World Cup global stage.

Pitch Pulse is much more than a startup competition. It is a comprehensive ecosystem access platform connecting founders with the right mentors, strategic partners, and investors.

Applications for Cohort 3 of the Venture Nurture Program (VNP) will be opening soon. VNP is a 6-month, hands-on incubation journey designed for execution. We do not focus on theory or passive advice; we work closely with founders to bring clarity, structure, and momentum to what they are building, helping them prepare for customers, growth, and investment.

Last month, our Neurotech Frontiers Summit at San Diego State University brought together over 140 researchers, founders, clinicians, and investors for a massive day of innovation and connection.

A major highlight of the Demo Zone was the exclusive book signing with Dave Thompson, author of Brainstorm: A Guide to Neurodivergent Talent and the Future of Work. Described by industry leaders as a rare blend of rigorous thinking and real-world relevance, Brainstorm is a bold and practical guide to rebuilding work from the ground up.
